They fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes, deliver services to hundreds of communities, provide objective and credible information, and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.

Advocacy Efforts

Advocacy plays an integral role in the mission of American Diabetes Association, they fight for people with diabetes in Washington, DC, in state capitols, and in courts. Diabetes Advocates around the country fight to increase funding to prevent, treat and cure diabetes; improve access to health care and eliminate discrimination against people with diabetes at school, work and elsewhere in their lives.

In addition to providing resources and advocating for those living with diabetes, the American Diabetes Association hosts fundraising events to support their cause and bring awareness to communities.
